Greetings from Norway – on the other side of the world!!!! I must say — I can just imagaine the lovely weather you are having there at the moment? How hot is it there now? We are just starting to come into Autumn and it is getting cooler…. pretty soon there will be metres of snow lining all the foot paths and streets! It is a really big difference! I used to live in Melbourne but now live in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. A good summer day here in Norway is like a good winter day in Melbourne – I am not joking! Seriously — if it is 15 degrees – we are outside in t-shirts working on our sun tans! (some people like to lay naked in the park as well … but I am not that brave!!!)
In winter it gets really COLD! The coldest I have experienced is -27!!!!! but we have a saying in Norway that says, “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing”… so you just have to make sure you have a reallllly good jacket and gloves and a scarf! Things I bet you definitely don’t need where you live… though, it must be cold at night time there as well?
I have been to the ‘outback’ three times for school camps… once as a student and twice as a teacher … and omg!!! It was cold at night time!!!!!
Anyway, hope you are all having a lovely day! We are eight hours behind you here, so it is 10am in the morning… I am finishing my coffee before I start cleaning my house! It is reallllly messy! Hahahaha.
Be sure to write back, and I will write back too! I am actually a teacher… but I am on maternity leave right now, as I just had a baby… but when I am back at work… perhaps it would be fun to write/message some of my students here in Norway? We have lots of kids from all over the world at an international school… would be really cool to connect with you all!!!!
What do you think?
Frankie!
